A tour of Summit County in 99.5 miles with 5,900' of climb. The route is from the Bob Guthrie Memorial Ride century option.
Start at the Summit Medical Center off Highway 9 just south of Frisco and the County Commons - or anywhere else along the route. Visit in order Breckenridge (turn around at the Recreation Center), climb Swan Mountain Road, Keystone (turn around at the Mountain House Base Area), Dillon, Silverthorne, head north and climb Ute Pass, come back through Silverthorne and across the Dillon Dam to Frisco. Take the bike path to Copper Mountain and up to the Vail Pass summit, then come back through Copper and Frisco to the Medical Center. Be sure to fill your bottles in Silverthorne since it's a 30+ mile round trip out to the Ute Pass summit and back with no place to refill.
For the truly adventurous, add to the ride by going further into Breckenridge to visit Main Street and the Riverwalk Center, or go past Keystone's Mountain House area to River Run, up to Montezuma or even up Loveland Pass!
The Blue River Century Ride is an alternative Summit County Century ride starting from Keystone.
